Watching the events of last night play out in a crowded Manhattan bar, seeing history unfold before my eyes was an amazing experience. I was born after the moon landing, but I imagine it was a similar feeling. At least for us liberals gathered on the patio chanting "USA, USA".
I never really knew what it was like to feel genuine pride in my country. Now I do. Barak Obama is the right man for the job in this moment in time. Right now we need to feel like we are in this together. Not just as Americans but citizens of the world. It's morning in America. Take this time to celebrate, but come January be ready to roll up your sleeves. There's work to be done.
